A word about asking

Some people worry that a list of questions will annoy a busy specialist. The opposite is true: oncologists consistently say that prepared patients have better consultations, make decisions they stay comfortable with, and remember more of what was said. Bring a pen, bring a companion if you can (a second pair of ears catches what yours miss), and do not be shy about asking the same question twice. You are allowed to understand your own care completely.
